Anyways, yes – this is my new portfolio site, in all it’s glory. One of the things that I’ve learned throughout the job interview process is that people like tangible evidence that you’re not lying to them about your skill set. You can’t really fit a bunch of website links on a business card, and even if you did – it wouldn’t look that great at all.
I intentionally took a very minimalistic approach to the entire site, because the goal is to only serve as a launchpad to other sites I have been involved in or associated with. As I do on the rare occasion I sit down and do a design, I opted for the “get out of your way and let you do what you want to do” approach. The site consists on one page, and you can mouse over the tiles to get a popover that tells you a little bit about each site.
Overall, I’m pleased with how it came out.
Anyways, I apologize for being absent over the past several weeks. I’ll make it up to you, I promise. I’m currently dealing with finding a job, final exams, and getting through the tasks involved with my last week at Boxkite Media. I’m way too busy. So leave me some comment love about the site and let me know what you think. Otherwise, I’ll probably see you around the beginning to middle of May when my schedule gets somewhat back to normal.
